Pack 228 was born on February 20, 1959, when the Pack received its charter. This year marks our 65th birthday! There were other Cub Scout Packs in the area, but ours was the first in Saint James. The Pack gathered for its first meeting exactly a month later, on March 20th. It was held at Saint James Elementary School on a Friday – a tradition that continues to this day. With the support of the school and the sponsorship from the Saint James VFW, we were off to a great start. There were 53 scouts on the roster on day one. Over the last 65 years, over a thousand Cub Scouts have worn the number 228 with pride. As a Cub Scout or family member in this Pack, you are part of this rich tradition!
Pack 228 has been serving the Saint James, NY community for 65 years.
We welcome all Boys and Girls grade K-5.
